Andrew Backhouse

Andrew Backhouse has a strong work experience in the field of cloud architecture and technology. Andrew is currently working as a Senior Cloud Architect at Cloudreach, an Atos company since November 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Sky Betting & Gaming, where they held multiple roles including Principal Cloud Architect, Cloud Centre of Excellence (CCoE) Lead, Senior Solutions Architect, and Solution Architect from April 2016 to November 2022. At Aviva plc, they worked as a Solution Designer from October 2012 to March 2016, where they played a crucial role in developing cloud awareness and implementing business strategy and products on AWS. Andrew also started their career as an IT & Change Graduate at Aviva, gaining a real perspective of an Enterprise IT development lifecycle.

Andrew Backhouse completed their education at the University of Hull from 2008 to 2011, earning a BSc with Hons degree in Computer Science. In addition, they have obtained various certifications, including "Networking in Google Cloud Platform" from Jellyfish Training in July 2020, "Google Cloud Platform Fundamentals" from Google in May 2020, "Intermediate Certificate in Enterprise & Solution Architecture" and "Practitioner Certificate in Enterprise and Solution Architecture" from BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT in October 2019, "Google Cloud Certified Professional Cloud Architect" from Google Cloud in March 2022, "AWS Certified SysOps Administrator - Associate" from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in March 2019, "AWS Certified Developer – Associate" from Amazon Web Services in November 2018, and "AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate" from Amazon Web Services in March 2017.
