Andrew Kember's work experience begins in 1998 when they worked as a Student Design Engineer at Marconi Instruments. From 1998 to 2002, they were also a Student Design Engineer at Aeroflex, where they completed a MATLAB implementation project and became an experienced user of Delphi.
In 2002, Andrew joined Imagination Technologies as a Design Engineer, where they worked on a C programming project and conducted manual product performance testing. Andrew remained at the company until 2005.
From 2005 to 2006, Andrew worked at Cabot Communications as a Test Development Engineer, where they developed and deployed an automated system testing framework in Python.
In 2006, they joined Picsel Technologies as a Software Test Engineer, where they planned and executed automated test strategies using Python test-tools.
From 2008 to 2012, Andrew worked at Axios Systems as a Software Test Development Engineer. Here, they designed and implemented performance and functional tests, managed server infrastructure, and deployed applications on various platforms.
In 2012, Andrew started working at Cloudreach, an Atos company. Andrew held various roles including Cloud Systems Developer, Cloud Systems Developer Lead, Technical Partner Manager and ISV Partner Manager, DevOps Lead, Platform Engineer, and Senior Platform Engineering Manager. In these roles, they led teams, delivered complex projects, managed relationships with AWS, Microsoft, and Google, and promoted Cloudreach's technical capabilities.
Andrew Kember attended the Royal Grammar School Guildford from 1990 to 1997, but no degree or field of study was specified. Andrew then pursued higher education at the University of Bristol, where they earned an MEng degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering between 1997 and 2002.
In addition to their formal education, Andrew Kember has obtained several certifications. These include being a Certified Incident Responder from PagerDuty, achieved in April 2021. Andrew also holds an SVQ in Management SCQF Level 7 from the Scottish Qualifications Authority, completed in November 2019. Other certifications include being a Google Certified Professional - Cloud Architect from Google Cloud Certified in December 2017, achieving the 70-534: Architecting Microsoft Azure Solutions certification from Microsoft in August 2017, being an AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional Level from Amazon Web Services in June 2015, obtaining the AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate Level from Amazon Web Services in November 2013, and being a Google Apps Certified Deployment Specialist from Google in August 2012.
