Rammohan Krishnan

Rammohan Krishnan has a diverse range of work experience in the field of data architecture and management. Rammohan started their career at Wipro Infotech Ltd as a Systems Executive from 1989 to 1991. Rammohan then worked as a Consultant at Capricorn Systems, Inc. where they managed a terabyte data warehouse and conducted database modeling for credit card transactions. From 2000 to 2003, Rammohan worked at Commerce One as a DBA/Engineer, contributing to the architecture and development of B2B SRM products.

Rammohan joined McKesson Health IT in 2003 and held multiple roles during their tenure. As a DBA, they designed relational database models, implemented backup and restore procedures, and set up standby/DataGuard environments for disaster recovery. As a Lead DBA, Rammohan led a team and improved database issue tracking and resolution processes. Rammohan also led a project to migrate Oracle RAC/ASM to a standardized Linux/RAC platform. In their role as a Database Architect, they contributed to Six Sigma projects and managed the Change Control Board for Enterprise Data Model and Infrastructure. As an Architect Advisor, they led analytics projects and architected the Enterprise Data Model.

From 2016 to 2019, Rammohan worked at Cotiviti Inc as a Big Data Architect, where they architected data lake architecture for healthcare claims and contributed to AWS adoption and various data services. Rammohan also worked at Infinite Computer Solutions as a Database Architect Consultant for a brief period in 2016.

Currently, Rammohan is working at Cloudreach as a Senior Cloud Data Architect, where they build cloud-native data and analytical solutions on AWS. Rammohan has led a team of data engineers for data engineering transformation and has architected Data Lake and pipelines for migrating on-prem Teradata Warehouse on AWS/EMR/Databricks/Spark and Redshift for business intelligence on MicroStrategy for a large global CPG enterprise. Throughout their career, Rammohan has demonstrated expertise in various technologies and platforms such as AWS, RedShift, EMR, Spark, and SQL Server.

Rammohan Krishnan completed their Master of Science (MS) in Computer Science from the National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli, from 1986 to 1989. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained several certifications throughout their career. These certifications include Advanced Business Analytics from the MIT Sloan School of Management (obtained in November 2020), SnowPro Core Certification from Snowflake (obtained in November 2020), Enterprise Architect TOGAF 9.1 Certified from The Open Group (obtained in May 2016), Tackling Challenges of Big Data from MIT Professional Education (obtained in November 2015), AWS Certified Big Data Specialist from Amazon Web Services (AWS) (obtained in February 2019), and AWS Solution Architect Associate from Amazon Web Services (AWS) (obtained in January 2019).
