Inclusive Education Foundation - Mae Sot
Inclusive Education Foundation (InEd) is committed to improving the quality of migrant education and reshaping the educational landscape from a triangle to a square. We believe that all children, regardless of nationality, socioeconomic status, ethnicity, gender, ability, or religious background, should have access to safe, high-quality, and recognized education. In Thailand, where over half of migrant children remain out of school—amounting to more than 200,000 as estimated by the Ministry of Education and Migrant Working Group—InEd's mission becomes even more crucial. Teachers in the contexts where we work learn to teach on the job - most don't have the opportunity to attend university. Therefore we work with teachers in their classrooms and conduct training designed not to disrupt their classes and busy schedules. Central to our mission is aligning educational capacity building with national standards, championing flexible pathways for the recognition of marginalized teachers from Myanmar. Promoting social cohesion is integral to our mission. By embracing a multicultural and multilingual approach, we strive to foster shared understanding and unity to ensure every child has the opportunity for a comprehensive and transformative education. Our team embodies this ethos, speaking a combined eight (8) languages and publishing research in Thai, Burmese, and English.
