Hwee Siang Chin

Hwee Siang Chin has over 25 years of work experience in the financial services industry. Hwee Siang began their career in 1995 at HSBC as an Assistant Manager in Asset-Based Lending, where they were able to enhance the business portfolio in asset-based lending to corporate accounts by 28%. In 2002, they moved to Bayerische Landesbank as an Assistant Manager in Loan Recovery for Consumer Loans (High Net Worth Individuals). In 2003, they joined Coface as a Senior Regional Manager in Claims and Collections (APAC). During their tenure, they were responsible for newly established Receivables Management Department and achieved profitability by the second year of operations with healthy margin. In 2012, they moved to Unicredit Bank as Vice President Special Accounts Department Asia Pacific (Restructuring). Here, they led the restructuring of non-performing loan accounts, including workouts, restructuring debt repayment terms and maximizing recoveries through enforcement or asset sales. In 2014, they joined AIG Asia Pacific Holdings as APAC Regional Claims Manager. During their time at AIG, they handled claims management of Trade Credit, Political Risk and Surety product lines for 8 countries in Asia Pacific and successfully delivered favorable outcomes for multiple complex claims. In 2016, they moved to Allianz Trade as ASEAN Head Trade Credit Claims and Collection. Here, they led overall operations of trade credit insurance claims including chairing monthly committee meeting to review past due portfolio, recovery strategy and provisioning recommendations for large value cases. Hwee Siang also managed debt recovery portfolio, reviewed and managed overdue accounts receivable reported by policyholders, including bank factoring policyholders; resolved trade disputes with debtor companies for satisfactory payment resolutions. Currently, Hwee Siang Chin is the Head of Trade Credit Claims and Recovery at Incomlend.

Hwee Siang Chin holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the National University of Singapore.
