Andreas Juul Jensen

Andreas Juul Jensen has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries such as commodities trading, energy trading, project management, and academia.

From 2021 onwards, Andreas has been working as the Head of Business Development & Power Asset Management at InCommodities (InC). In this role, they are responsible for building new and scalable profit areas, particularly in the Power Asset Management sector. Andreas leads initiatives involving leadership, strategy, origination, algorithmic trading strategies, digitization, agile project management, and business development in new markets. Additionally, Andreas is involved in researching and implementing InC's existing business models in the APAC markets, contributing to the company's global growth strategy.

Prior to their role at InCommodities, Andreas worked at Centrica Energy Trading from 2018 to 2021. Starting as a Team Lead & Product Owner, they were responsible for delivering IT solutions and leading a high-performance team. Andreas then transitioned to the role of Manager, Analytics & Data Science, followed by Head of Power Analytics, where they focused on leveraging technology and quantitative models for optimization and trading of renewable and flexible portfolios across European markets. Later, Andreas assumed the role of Head of Intraday Asset Trading & Analytics, leading a team of asset traders and emphasizing the application of technology and quantitative models to create a world-class asset trading desk.

In addition to their roles in the corporate world, Andreas has also contributed to academia. Andreas served as a Guest Lecturer at Aarhus BSS - Aarhus University in 2019 and at Aalborg University in 2017.

Furthermore, Andreas gained valuable experience in project management and portfolio management during their time at Neas Energy A/S from 2014 to 2018. As a Project Portfolio Manager, they oversaw the management and prioritization of projects, facilitated decision-making processes, and ensured strategic alignment and benefit realization. Andreas also played a key role in establishing a Project Management Office (PMO) within the organization and contributed to the development of project management capabilities.

Andreas began their career as a Sales Coach at LNE A/S in 2012 and later participated in the Summerschool program at Danske Bank in 2014.

Andreas Juul Jensen has a diverse education history. Andreas attended Aalborg Universitet from 2013 to 2015, where they pursued a degree in IT-management. Prior to that, from 2010 to 2013, they studied at Aalborg University and obtained a Bachelor's degree in Politics and Administration, specializing in Politik og Administration. Before entering university, Andreas attended Mariagerfjord Gymnasium from 2006 to 2009, with a focus on International USA.

In addition to their formal education, Andreas has also acquired additional certifications. In February 2021, they obtained the EPEX SPOT Trader Certificate from EPEX SPOT. In June 2019, they earned the Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO1) certification from Teknologisk Institut.
