Juan Carlos Millan

Juan Carlos Millan has a diverse and extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Juan Carlos is currently working as a Senior UX Designer at inConcert. Previously, they co-founded Eden Capital in 2020, where they are involved in ongoing entrepreneurship.

Millan also served as the Head of UX & Product Design at BOD Banco Universal from January 2021 to June 2022. In this role, they led the UX/UI design team and was responsible for transforming the digital customer experience across web and mobile channels. Juan Carlos conducted research initiatives and created usable platforms, products, and tools to enhance the bank's digital transformation and user experience.

Prior to that, Millan worked at Andromeda Ventures, starting as the Head of Innovation in January 2017, where they led projects and identified business opportunities. Juan Carlos was also responsible for UX research, developing business plans, and providing conceptual UX design input. Subsequently, they became the Head of Innovation & Advance Analytics from September 2019 to January 2021. In this role, Millan facilitated decision-making processes and strategy development for various startups within the Andromeda Ventures group.

Before joining Andromeda Ventures, Millan was a UX Designer at BBVA Provincial from October 2014 to January 2017. There, they were part of the first UX transformation team in the Venezuelan banking sector, designing web and mobile solutions to improve the digital banking experience. Juan Carlos also conducted market benchmarking activities.

Juan Carlos Millan started their education at Colegio Santo Tomás de Aquino, where they obtained a Bachiller en Ciencias degree from 1998 to 2006. Juan Carlos then pursued a Licenciado en Comunicación Social degree in Audiovisual Social Communication from Universidad 'Santa María' from 2007 to 2013. In 2018, they enrolled in IEBS and completed a Master en Analitica Web, Usabilidad y Experiencia de Usuario (UX) in the field of Negocios Digitales.

Additionally, Juan Carlos Millan has obtained various certifications, including "Optimize Digital Experiences Using Adobe Target" from Adobe in 2016, "Diseños de experiencias Web: desde la Definición de la Estrategia hasta la Gestión de los Resultados" from Centro Internacional de Actualización Profesional in 2015, and "Pasión por la gente: el arte de atender" from IESA in 2015. Juan Carlos also has certifications in Photoshop CC and Final Cut Pro 10 obtained in 2014. Additionally, they obtained certifications in various UX design techniques and principles from Lynda.com between 2016 and 2017.
