Ricardo Macarron is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in drug discovery and development. Currently serving as Vice President of Myeloid Diseases Biology and Applied Technology at Incyte since October 2019, Ricardo has also held the role of Scientific Advisor at SLAS Discovery since January 2018. Prior to these positions, a long tenure at GSK spanned from September 1992 to October 2019, including roles such as Vice President Biology Leader for the Novel Human Genetics Research Unit, Vice President of Target and Pathway Validation, Vice President Sample Management Technologies, Director of Assay Development, Director of Molecular Screening, and Senior Investigator. Ricardo co-founded ID Diagnostics and held the position of Associate Editor at SLAS Discovery from 2002 to 2017, also serving as President of the Society for Biomolecular Sciences from 2007 to 2008. Educational credentials include a PhD in Biochemistry from Universidad Complutense de Madrid, an EMTM in Technology Management from The Wharton School, and a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Universidad Complutense de Madrid.
