John Anderson

John Anderson is the current Chief Corporate Officer at Independence Australia. Prior to this, they held various management positions at different hospitals and healthcare groups. John started their career as a Business Manager – Finance & Psychiatric Services at Peninsula Health in 1999. John then moved to Eastern Health in 2003 where they became the Business Manager for Emergency Services. In 2005, they were promoted to Divisional Manager – Clinical Support at Western Health. Anderson held this position until 2006 when they became the Director of Corporate Services at West Gippsland Healthcare Group. John left this position in 2011 to become the General Manager of Radiation Oncology & Cancer Imaging at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre. John held this position until 2013 when they assumed their current role at Independence Australia.

John Anderson has a Juris Doctor from RMIT University, a Graduate Diploma in Applied Corporate Governance from the Governance Institute of Australia, a Masters in Commercial Law from Deakin University, and a Masters in Business Administration from Monash University. John also has a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from Deakin University. John is certified by the Association of Corporate Counsel, the High Court of Australia, the Victorian Legal Services Board, the Supreme Court of Victoria, the Law Institute of Victoria, and the Governance Institute of Australia.
