Joseph Mattera

Joseph Mattera has extensive experience at Independence Blue Cross since May 1995, currently serving as the Director of Risk Accuracy & Supplemental Programs, where responsibility includes setting the strategic direction for Risk Accuracy programs and leading operations related to supplemental gap closure for Medicare and ACA business. Previous roles at Independence Blue Cross include Director of Commercial Risk Analytics, overseeing ACA Risk Analytics Program and CMS data submissions, and Director of Financial Planning and Analysis, focusing on financial consolidations and long-range planning. Joseph also held the position of Director of Finance for Government Business, managing segment P&L and CMS revenue reconciliations, along with various managerial positions in finance since starting as a Budget Analyst at Reliance Insurance. Educational background includes a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Management from Drexel University.
