Kim Martin

Kim Martin has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Kim is currently working at Independent Bank as the Senior Vice President and Director of Internal Audit. Before joining Independent Bank, they were the Financial Systems Transformation Director and Senior Vice President at Huntington National Bank. Prior to that, they held the position of Director of Financial Operations & Integration and Senior Vice President at TCF Bank. Kim also gained extensive experience at Chemical Bank, where they held various roles including Director of Financial Operations & Corporate Controller and Corporate Controller/Senior Vice President. Kim started their career at Monitor Sugar as the Treasurer and later became the Corporate Controller. Kim began their professional journey as a Senior Audit/Tax Accountant at Deloitte, Haskins & Sells.

Kim Martin attended Michigan State University from 1979 to 1983, where they obtained a Bachelor of Accounting degree with a specialization in Accounting. In 1984, they obtained the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification. In 2015, Kim Martin also obtained the certification for Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA).
