Chad Underwood has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Chad is currently the Chief Financial Officer at IPP - Independent Pet Partners since January 2023. Prior to this role, they worked as the Vice President, Controller at IPP from March 2022 to January 2023. Before joining IPP, Chad served as the Vice President, Corporate Controller at iMedia Brands, Inc. from June 2021 to March 2022. Chad also held the position of Chief Financial Officer at Fourteen Foods from July 2020 to April 2021, and Vice President of Finance from January 2018 to July 2020. Chad's experience in finance and accounting extends to their roles at Aspirity Energy, where they were the Vice President Finance Accounting from October 2015 to January 2018, and at WuXi AppTec, where they worked as an Assistant Controller from November 2014 to October 2015. Beginning their career, Chad was a Supervisor of Revenue Analysis at Help/Systems, LLC from March 2013 to November 2014. Chad also worked as a Sr Financial Analyst at Healthland from June 2011 to March 2013. Prior to entering the finance field, Chad was a Pitcher for the Chicago Cubs in 2005. Chad began their professional career as a Staff Auditor at KPMG from September 2006 to May 2008. Overall, Chad possesses a wealth of experience in finance, accounting, and leadership roles across various organizations.
Chad Underwood has an extensive education background. Chad completed their Bachelor's degree in Account and Finance at the Texas Christian University - M.J. Neeley School of Business from 2000 to 2005. Following this, they pursued a Masters degree in Accounting from the same institution in 2004 and 2005. Later on, Chad furthered their education by earning a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus in Finance and Management from the University of Minnesota - Carlson School of Management between 2013 and 2016.
