Michael Henry

Michael Henry lives in Staffordshire with wife, two children, Isabel and Ted and their three cats Hank, Bailey and Mabel. He has a strong passion and interest in Veterinary Medicine having grown up around a mixed practice in Cheshire which his father ran for 40 years.

Michael is a Pharmacist who qualified from The University of London before working in senior roles at Boots, Lloydspharmacy and then as a board director at Holland & Barrett. For the last seven years he has been the Healthcare Director for Superdrug where he had board level accountability for Clinical Governance, Healthcare Operations and Commercial for all Health Services. This included their NHS Pharmacy Service, Nurse Clinics and Doctor prescribing services.

Throughout his career Michael has led large teams of Healthcare Professionals from multiple disciplines as well as working alongside Government, the NHS and Regulators to influence and develop innovative service provision. During the Pandemic Michael planned and led the team that administered the first Covid-19 vaccination in community pharmacy in January 2021, subsequently going on to vaccinate hundreds of thousands of patients in the last 18 months.
