Katie Scherer

Katie Scherer is a seasoned talent acquisition professional currently serving as VP of Talent at Index Ventures since February 2024. Prior to this role, Katie held several key positions at Stripe from June 2015 to February 2024, including Head of Leadership & Executive Recruiting, Head of APAC Recruiting, and Recruiting Manager for Engineering & Technology. Earlier in their career, Katie served as a Senior Talent Engineer at BrightRoll, which was acquired by Yahoo, and as a Technical Sourcer at Google. Katie began their career as a Technical Recruiter at Corporate Search / J. Marymont Inc. Katie holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication from UC Santa Barbara and has additional educational experience at the University of Washington.
