Vignesh Palani

Vignesh Palani is an Assistant Professor at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) since October 2023. Prior to this position, Vignesh served as a Postdoctoral Associate at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from April 2021 to August 2023 and as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of California, Berkeley from October 2016 to December 2020, focusing on the development of new reactions and total synthesis of complex natural products for the graduate thesis. Vignesh also gained experience as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of Minnesota, working on the Hexadehydro Diels-Alder project, which involved synthesizing highly functionalized aromatic systems. Vignesh holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Chemistry from the University of California, Berkeley (2016-2020) and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Chemistry from the University of Minnesota (2012-2016).
