Hiranmoy Chattopadhyaya

Hiranmoy Chattopadhyaya, PhD, is currently a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, focusing on affordable healthcare devices since June 2023. Alongside academic pursuits, Hiranmoy serves as an Elected Member of the Municipal Council of Kharagpur and as an Elected Member of the West Bengal Legislative Assembly, roles held since February 2022 and May 2021, respectively. Hiranmoy has an extensive career in the Bengali Film Industry as a professional film actor since May 2007. Prior professional experience includes significant managerial positions at Reliance Industries Limited and Eastern Bulk Company Ltd, as well as an early role as a Management Trainee at Leaap International Pvt. Ltd. Hiranmoy holds a B.A. (Honors) in English Literature & Language from Rabindra Bharati University, Kolkata, completed in 2003.
