Yibo Huang

Research Fellow

Yibo Huang is a Research Fellow at the University of Michigan since September 2023, following a tenure as a Postdoctoral Associate in the Rice Computer Science Department from September 2022 to September 2023. Prior to academia, Yibo worked as a High-speed Network Engineer at ByteDance from May 2020 to August 2022 and completed an internship as a Software Engineer at Intel Corporation from May 2019 to April 2020 and another internship as a System Engineer Intern at Intel Corporation from March 2015 to November 2015. Yibo Huang holds a PhD in Computer Science from Fudan University, obtained in 2021, and a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering from Central South University, completed in 2016. Notably, Yibo proposed NTSocks, an innovative userspace ultra-fast PCIe interconnect that addresses protocol translation inefficiencies in kernel-bypass networking for rack-scale disaggregation.
