Ramesh Bhatawdekar

Ramesh Bhatawdekar is an experienced mining professional with a career spanning several decades in various leadership roles across different organizations. Currently serving as an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Mining Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, Ramesh also holds the position of Head of Training and Courses at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. Ramesh's extensive background includes managing aggregate operations at Holcim Malaysia, overseeing general mining operations for the Aditya Birla Group and Essar Global, and conducting research as an International Research Fellow specializing in limestone and aggregate quarry development. Ramesh has a strong academic foundation, including a Ph.D. in Rock Mass Classification and multiple degrees from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia and Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur.
