Surajit Sinha is currently a Prime Minister Research Fellow at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, since August 2021, pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering. Prior to this role, Surajit served as an Ore Dressing Engineer and Quality Control In Charge at Hindustan Zinc from July 2016 to July 2019, where responsibilities included optimizing lead and zinc recovery processes and overseeing maintenance activities. Surajit holds a Master of Technology in Metallurgical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University), obtained in 2021, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Metallurgy and Materials Engineering from IIEST, Shibpur, completed in 2016. Early education includes an intermediate degree in Science and a secondary school certificate from Midnapore Collegiate School.
