Rahul Sundar

Research Scholar [m.s/ph.d.]

Rahul Sundar is a Scientist specializing in AI/ML at Verisk Extreme Event Solutions since April 2024, focusing on enhancing deep learning pipelines for climate extreme event simulations. Currently a Research Scholar at the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, since June 2017, Rahul is developing physics-based reduced-order/surrogate models for unsteady aerodynamics and serves as the Coordinator for the SYNCHRONY HPC Cluster. Additionally, Rahul has experience as a Project Mentor at the Centre For Innovation, leading the development of a guide robot with a conversational interface, and has held roles as a Teaching Assistant and Project Associate, involving various educational and research projects. Educational qualifications include an MS/PhD in Aerospace Engineering from IIT Madras and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani.
