Narayan Mitra

Narayan Mitra has significant experience in the field of human resources, spanning over 25 years. Their most recent role was as the Vice President and Head of Human Resources at Indian Metals & Ferro Alloys Ltd since January 2023. Prior to this, they served as the Head of Human Resources at Landis+Gyr from December 2021 to December 2022. From 2016 to 2020, they worked as the Director of Human Resources at Pentair. Before that, they had an extensive tenure at Becton, Dickinson and Company, where they held various roles, including Manager of Human Resources and Senior HR Business Partner. Narayan also worked at Baxter International Inc. as the Plant HR head at their manufacturing facility in Aurangabad. Their early career includes positions at ITC Limited and Britannia Industries Limited, where they gained experience in employee relations, employment laws, and employee welfare programs.

Narayan Mitra began their education in 1979 at Goethals Memorial School, where they completed their ICSE degree. Afterward, they attended St. Joseph's College in Kolkata from 1989 to 1990, earning an ISC degree in Commerce. From 1991 to 1993, they pursued a B-Com(Hons) at City College of Commerce & Business Administration, focusing on Business/Commerce. Following this, Narayan Mitra enrolled at the Indian Institute of Social Welfare and Business Management, obtaining a Diploma in Social Work (Labour Welfare) from 1995 to 1996. Lastly, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in HR at the same institution from 2000 to 2002.
