Michael Scott Goins has a diverse and extensive work experience. Michael Scott started their career in 1994 as Battalion Chief at Beech Grove Fire Department, a role they held until 2020. In 2002, they joined Indiana University Health as an Instructor, and they worked in that position until 2016. From 2016 to 2019, Goins served as the Program Coordinator EMS at Franciscan St. Francis Health. In 2020, they joined Franciscan Health as the Manager of Educational Services. Currently, since 2022, they hold the position of Director of Clinical Education at Indiana University Health.
Michael Scott Goins earned a Master's degree in Nursing Education from the University of Indianapolis, from the years 2018 to 2021. Michael Scott also completed a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse from Purdue University Northwest, from 2013 to 2015. Prior to that, from 2007 to 2010, they obtained an Associate of Science (A.S.) in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse from Excelsior University. Their earliest education experience in the field of healthcare was completing the Methodist Hospital Paramedic Program in 1990-1991, specializing in Emergency Medical Technology/Technician (EMT Paramedic).
