Craig Hetrick

Assistant Principal Timpani/percussion at Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra

Craig Hetrick is a seasoned percussionist with extensive experience in orchestral performance and education. Since May 1992, Hetrick has served as the Assistant Principal Timpani/Percussion with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, specializing in snare drum and drumset. In addition to this role, Hetrick has been an Adjunct Instructor of Percussion at Butler University since 1996, offering private lessons to students. Hetrick also held visiting professor positions at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music in 2000-2003 and 2007-2008. Previous orchestral experience includes principal and extra percussion roles with several orchestras, including the Columbus Pro Musica Orchestra and Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra. Hetrick holds a Master of Music in Percussion Performance from Indiana University Bloomington and a Bachelor of Music in Percussion Performance from the University of Delaware.
