Cody Mattox

Cody Mattox has a diverse work experience in various fields. Cody started their career in 2012 as a Board Operator at Emmis Communications. From 2012 to 2016, they worked at WTHI-TV as a Television Production Assistant, where they operated cameras, collaborated with the director, and managed audio production.

In 2015, Cody joined Midwest Communications Radio as a Street Team Member and Receptionist, assisting in promoting the radio station during events and filling in as a receptionist. Cody then worked at Planet Fitness in 2016 as a Membership Representative, where they played a key role in sales, customer service, and maintaining the facility.

Cody joined Nexstar Media Group, Inc. in 2016, initially as a Television News Producer, responsible for writing and constructing newscasts. Cody later transitioned to the role of Digital Content Producer, focusing on writing, editing, and publishing news content on the website and social media platforms.

From 2018 to 2022, Cody worked at WTHR-TV as a News Editor, creating and delivering visually striking and engaging television and web news content using various software and publishing tools.

Currently, Cody Mattox is a Public Relations Specialist at the Indianapolis Zoo, starting in 2022.

Cody Mattox attended Indiana State University from 2010 to 2015, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication and Media Studies.
