Amber Leigh Ortiz, PhD has worked in a variety of roles since 2004. Amber Leigh attended SACNAS in 2004 and then worked as an Undergraduate Researcher at the University of New Mexico SOM from 2010-2011 and as a Chemical Engineering Undergraduate Researcher from 2007-2010. Amber Leigh then worked as a Summer Undergraduate Researcher at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in 2011. From 2012-2017, they were a Graduate Student, PhD at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, where they studied how a bacterial pathogen triggers a potent innate immune response. From 2017-2018, they were an IRACDA PostDoctoral Fellow at the University of New Mexico School of Engineering. Amber Leigh is currently a Senior Imaging Scientist and Imaging Scientist at Indica Labs.
Amber Leigh Ortiz, PhD obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) from The University of New Mexico in 2012, majoring in Chemistry and Math. Amber Leigh then pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Immunology from the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus and the University of Colorado Denver, which they completed in 2017. In addition to their educational achievements, they have obtained certifications from TIBCO Spotfire in February of 2022.
