William Edelman, PhD

Senior Imaging Scientist at Indica Labs

William Edelman, PhD has worked in a variety of roles since 2006. William began their career as a Senior Research Interviewer at the University of New Mexico's Institute for Public Policy. William then worked as a Peer Mentor Intern at Working Classroom INC., where they organized fundraising efforts, secured donors, mentored students, and disseminated information about upcoming productions and art gallery openings. In 2004, they worked as a Professional Actor at Working Classroom, where they wrote, acted, and produced "Highway 47". From 2006 to 2010, they were an NSF Graduate Research Fellow at the University of Washington's School of Medicine. In 2014, they were the UW SACNAS President at SACNAS. From 2016 to 2020, they were a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Washington's School of Medicine, where they investigated the molecular basis of X-linked Parkinson's disease. Since 2020, they have been an Imaging Scientist and Image Analyst at Indica Labs.

William Edelman, PhD has an education history that includes a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Genome Sciences, Mass Spectrometry Proteomics from the University of Washington between 2010 and 2016, a Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Molecular Phylogenetic Systematics from The University of New Mexico between 2005 and 2010, and a National Exchange Program in Biology from New College of Florida in 2007. William has also obtained certifications in Legal and Ethical Issues for Entrepreneurs, Marketing for Entrepreneurs, Introduction to Data Science in Python, Introduction to Entrepreneurship, Level 1 Ski Instructor, and Spanish-ACTFL Advanced-Mid Speaker from Arizona State University, University of Michigan, and PSIA - AASI Professional Ski Instructors of America - American Association of Snowboard Instructors, respectively.
