Yong Liao

Yong Liao has extensive experience in integrated circuit design and hardware development, currently serving as IC Design Lead at indie Semiconductor since May 2017, focusing on project management and design for the wireless charger business unit. Prior to this role, Yong Liao spent eight years at Broadcom Limited as Senior Staff in Hardware Development, leading silicon validation activities for various types of integrated circuits including PMICs and wireless charger ICs. An early internship at Philips involved work on electronic ballasts and power supply design for LED lights, where Yong Liao gained hands-on experience with circuit simulation and assembly. Educational credentials include a Master of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from UC Irvine and a Bachelor of Science in the same field from Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
