Kristen Sager has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning various industries and roles. Kristen is currently the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) at Indiegogo, where they lead marketing efforts for multiple regions and is responsible for areas such as brand, lead generation, product marketing, growth marketing, content/social, and digital services.

Before joining Indiegogo, Kristen served as the Head of Marketing at Wonderschool, where they played a pivotal role in growing the company from a small team to over 85 employees and expanding the customer base from approximately 40 to 750+ across different markets. Kristen also served as the COO and Head of Marketing at Scoot and Doodle, a startup specializing in educational apps. In this role, they led the acquisition of 1 million educational users across 20,000 US schools and developed partnerships with influential companies such as Google, Apple, and Pearson. Kristen also executed successful ambassador promotions and achieved significant user growth and follower base.

As the co-founder and CMO of Plum Gear, an e-commerce subscription service for baby clothes, Kristen played a vital role in taking the company from prototype to market within 10 weeks. Kristen secured funding from prominent investors and acquired a substantial customer base through paid ads, social media, and collaborations with vendor-suppliers. Kristen's career began at Sides & Associates, a management consulting firm, where they worked as a partner serving startups and Fortune 500 companies in biotech, high-tech, and consumer packaged goods (CPG) industries. Notably, they led a team that created a new project system for Genentech, aimed at improving speed, decision-making quality, and scalability.

Prior to that, Kristen held the position of COO and VP of Marketing at Murad, Inc., where they achieved significant growth and improvements across various business areas. Kristen successfully led a $35 million business, overseeing a large staff, budget, and multiple departments. During their tenure, they achieved profit growth, expansion of e-commerce and direct mail businesses, and cost reductions.

Earlier in their career, Kristen served as the VP of Marketing at eHow, where they played a crucial role in growing the audience from zero to 10 million monthly visitors by leveraging search, affiliate, and email marketing. Kristen also established marketing collaborations with notable brands such as REI, GAP, Frito-Lay, and Nestle. Kristen also created a content business, securing book deals and syndication partnerships.

Kristen's first experience in brand marketing was at Nestle, where they worked as a Brand Marketing Associate. Kristen successfully grew the Nesquik chocolate milk business and received recognition for the best marketing program worldwide in 1998. Kristen also contributed to the design and launch of new packaging innovations that significantly increased sales of ready-to-drink (RTD) beverages.
