Bill Desowitz

Bill Desowitz is a freelance writer and the owner/blogger of Immersed in Movies. Bill has also served as the Craft and Animation Editor at IndieWire, the Senior Editor at Animation World Network, and the Editor of VFXWorld.

Desowitz has been writing about film for over 20 years. Bill began their career as a freelance writer in 1996, and has since contributed to a variety of publications, including Animation Magazine, Animation World Network, CineMontage, Variety, and Popular Mechanics. In addition to their work as a journalist, Desowitz has also consulted on a number of animation and visual effects projects.

Bill Desowitz has a MA in Film & TV Studies from University of California, Los Angeles and a BA in Journalism from California State University, Northridge.
