Emma Walker

Operations Team Lead at Indigo

Emma Walker has a diverse work experience. Emma started as a Media Coordinator at Muskoka Woods in 2014. Then, in 2015, they worked as a River Restoration Assistant at St. Francis Xavier University. In 2016, they worked at the university again, this time as a Student Alumni Associate and Freshwater Lab Assistant. In 2017, they became a Field Technician at the Bluenose Coastal Action Foundation. In 2019, they transitioned to the role of an Office Administrative Assistant at the Whitby Curling Club. In 2021, Emma joined Indigo as an Operations Team Lead. Emma is currently an intern at Ocean School, where they assist production teams and serves as a camera assistant to help develop scripts and interview questions for future expeditions.

Emma Walker has a Bachelor's degree in Aquatic Resources and Public Policy and Social Research from St. Francis Xavier University, which they completed from 2015 to 2018. Emma also pursued a Semester Abroad in Archaeology at UHI in 2017. Emma is currently studying at Royal Roads University, working towards a Master's degree in Environmental Practise from 2020 to 2024. In addition, they obtained a Graduate Certificate in Environmental Visual Communications from Fleming College from 2021 to 2022.
