John Frederick

John Frederick leverages deep financial and operational expertise in high growth public and private companies, large and small, to scale Indigo’s business and financial operations to better serve its stakeholders across the globe –⁠ from farmers to consumers and investors.

John joined Indigo in 2021 as an advisor before expanding his responsibilities to serve as the Head of Carbon Commercial Operations. In that time, he worked on pivotal acquisitions and steered the development of innovative partner economic models to scale enrollment and participation in Indigo’s sustainability programs.

Prior to joining Indigo, John was at Skillsoft, where he was Chief Administrative Officer and Chief Executive Officer of its learning management software business. He helped retool the company, resulting in meaningful core platform growth. John also served as Chief Operating Officer of Snag-a-job, a late-stage start-up, which was the largest two-sided marketplace addressing hourly workers. There, he also reinvigorated the company, setting the stage for breakout growth.
