Michael Schlenker

Head of Procurement at Indigo

Michael Schlenker is the Head of Procurement at Indigo. Michael has over 25 years of experience in global procurement, supply chain management, and interpretation.

Before joining Indigo, Michael was the Vice President Global Operational Procurement at Tate & Lyle from September 2014 to October 2018. In this role, they were responsible for the efficiency and effectiveness of Tate & Lyle’s global procurement organization.

Prior to Tate & Lyle, Michael was the Global Director Purchasing Electronics / Director Purchasing Europe and Africa at Lear Corporation from January 1998 to September 2014. In this role, they added interim global supply chain responsibilities for Electronics product group to their current position as Director Purchasing Europe and Africa, covering all product groups (Electrical, Electronics, Terminals and Connectors) and supply chain, including non-production, logistics and purchasing finance.

Before Lear Corporation, Michael worked as an International Arms Control Inspector / Russian Interpreter for the US Air Force from December 1985 to September 1998. In this role, they were a Sr. interpreter and weapons inspector in a multi-service organization that conducted on-site international inspections in support of multinational arms control treaties. Michael held a Diplomatic passport and Top Secret Security Clearance.

Michael Schlenker works with Elizabeth Graham - Chief Operating Officer, Nichole Riley - Chief People Officer, and Maria Belousova - Chief Digital Officer. Michael Schlenker reports to Ron Hovsepian, President, CEO & Board Director.
