José Manuel del Valle Álvarez has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. José Manuel currently works at Indra as the Head of System of Systems Architecture, where their responsibilities include technical management, operational analysis, and product definition. Prior to this, they worked as a Flight & Ground instructor at AIR PILOT ACADEMY - FLYSCHOOL. At Airbus Defence and Space, they held multiple roles, including Aircraft Systems Engineer and Project leader, where they were involved in activities such as analysis of customer requirements and implementation of a Model Based Systems Engineering methodology. José Manuel also worked as a Systems Engineer at Sogeti Group and as a Systems Engineering Intern at Airbus Defence and Space. In addition to their engineering roles, they were a Founding Member of ITDAE, where they focused on the development of new technologies for smart grids. José Manuel also worked as an Engineer in Computational Fluid Dynamics at AST Ingeniería.

José Manuel del Valle Álvarez began their education in 2005 at the Universidad de Oviedo, where they studied Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Energy & Fluid Dynamics. José Manuel completed their degree in 2011. In 2013, they pursued further education at the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, earning a Master's Degree in Aircraft Systems Integration. The following year, in 2014, José Manuel attended Fly School - Air Academy, where they obtained their ATPL(A) degree, allowing him to become an Air Transport Pilot. Additionally, in 2005 and 2006, they obtained their JAR-FCL Private Pilot License (PPL) at Rozas Flight Training Organization. José Manuel also holds certifications including a CPL(A) Commercial Pilot License from the EASA - European Union Aviation Safety Agency, a First Certificate in English from the University of Cambridge, and ICAO English 5 and ICAO Spanish 6 certifications from the EASA.
