Abigail Checkley

Abigail Checkley serves as the External Relations Director and Alumni Relations Director for the Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA) since June 2023. Abigail has held various internships, including an Industrial Design Intern position at Haworth and multiple co-op designer roles at companies such as Delta Faucet Company and Hasbro, where notable projects included an adaptable workstation sink and a new line of Play-Doh products. As the President and Founding Member of Boiler Design for CommUNITY, Abigail led research and execution of UI/UX projects addressing local community issues. Additionally, Abigail collaborated with Cotopaxi and Sonos, Inc. on product design projects. Currently pursuing a degree in Industrial and Product Design at Purdue University, Abigail's background includes extensive experience in design, community engagement, and leadership.
