Chris Edwards

Chris Edwards is a seasoned professional in the fields of production engineering and technical direction, currently serving as a Staff Production Engineer at Industrial Light & Magic since June 2023. Previously, Chris held the position of Pipeline Engineer at Lucasfilm from September 2022 to June 2023. With extensive experience at DreamWorks Animation from April 2009 to September 2022 as a Senior Technical Director and Lighting Specialist, Chris specialized in global lighting workflows and tool development for feature films. Earlier roles included Technical Artist at Electronic Arts - Tiburon, 3D Artist at BokaPowell, LLC, and Technical Director at Element X Creative. Chris began a career in animation support and asset management at DNA Productions in 2006. Academic credentials include a Master of Fine Arts in Arts and Technology from The University of Texas at Dallas and a Bachelor of Environmental Design from Texas A&M University.
