Michael Nuzzo has a diverse work experience in the engineering and manufacturing industry. Michael started their career as a Summer Help at Washington Penn Plastic Co., Inc. in 2015, where they assisted with maintenance tasks and plant upkeep. In 2016, they interned at the same company, working extensively with AutoCAD to model process cooling water piping and update material flow charts. The following year, they continued their internship at Washington Penn Plastic Co., Inc. and took on the responsibility of managing multiple projects, including finding solutions to reduce product loss in the boxing process.
In 2018, Michael joined Industrial Scientific as a Service Technician, specializing in diagnosing and refurbishing gas monitors. Michael demonstrated a high level of precision and attention to detail due to the critical nature of the equipment and the importance of user safety. Michael later moved on to become a Mechanical Engineer at the same company, where they developed mechanical designs and provided engineering support for product improvement and problem analysis.
Throughout their work experience, Michael has shown a strong commitment to problem-solving, technical skills in software applications like AutoCAD, and a diligent approach to improving product performance and efficiency.
Michael Nuzzo completed their education history with a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Cedarville University, which they attended from 2014 to 2018. Prior to that, they obtained a diploma from Erie County Home School in 2014. In addition to their formal education, Michael has acquired several certifications, including Injection Molding Bootcamp from the American Injection Molding (AIM) Institute in August 2021, Engineer In Training from NCEES in January 2020, and Gas Detection Made Easy (Levels 1-3) from Industrial Scientific in December 2018.
