Tim Burt

Tim Burt has over 30 years of work experience in software engineering and development. Tim'smost recent role is as a Senior Principal Software Engineer at Industrial Scientific, where they are responsible for the iNet Core Server. Tim has worked on various projects involving migration from VM-based systems to containerized environments, external integrations via Kafka, and serverless Lambdas. Prior to this, Tim held the position of Principal Software Developer at Industrial Scientific for five years.

Before joining Industrial Scientific, Tim worked as a Principal Software Engineer at Certes Networks for four years. At Certes Networks, they gained experience in software engineering and development.

Tim's early work experience includes roles as a Senior Software Engineer at RedPath IP, Inc., where they worked on creating software systems to support molecular diagnostics. Tim also held the position of Senior Software Engineer at CombineNet, where they designed and implemented a strategic sourcing platform. Prior to that, Tim worked as a Software Engineer at Nokia and Senior Software Engineer at Quest.

Tim's early career also involved managerial roles. Tim served as the Development Manager at CoManage, where they established the mission and policies for the Integrated Service Manager (ISM) software maintenance team. Additionally, Tim worked as a Senior Consultant at Black Box, providing consulting services.

Throughout their career, Tim has demonstrated strong technical skills and expertise in various programming languages and technologies. Tim has experience working in different industries, including molecular diagnostics, sourcing, and telecommunications.

Tim Burt attended Dade Christian School from 1973 to 1979. After completing high school, they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering with a focus on Computer Science at the University of Florida from 1979 to 1983.
