Drew Golder

Drew Golder has a diverse work experience in the energy industry, primarily focusing on transmission and regulatory matters. Drew is currently serving as the VP of Transmission and Regulatory at Industrial Sun since August 2022. Prior to this, Drew held positions at Lightsource bp, where they served as the VP of Transmission & Interconnection from March 2022 to May 2022, and as the Sr. Director of Transmission from July 2021 to February 2022.

Before joining Lightsource bp, Drew worked at 7X Energy, Inc. as the Sr. Director of Transmission from December 2017 to July 2021. In this role, they managed the grid interconnection process for 7X development projects, including managing relationships with ISO/RTOs, transmission owners, and consultants. Drew also performed nodal power market analysis using PROMOD and PAT software for project development intelligence and strategy.

Prior to their time at 7X Energy, Drew worked as a Project Manager at Leidos from November 2014 to November 2017. Drew led consulting projects in nodal power market analysis and provided advice to developers and investment banks on market rules, trends, developments, and project risks.

Drew's career also includes positions at DNV GL as an Electrical Engineer in Power Markets and Transmission Analysis from December 2012 to November 2014, and at DNV GL - Renewables (formerly GL Garrad Hassan) as a Turbine Engineer from April 2011 to December 2012. Drew performed independent engineering and due diligence services for wind energy projects and provided analysis and support for turbine technology and operations.

Earlier in their career, Drew worked at Gamesa as a Section Manager of Pre-Sales Engineering from March 2008 to April 2011. In this role, they provided turbine technology support to the North American sales team and managed the growth and personnel of the Pre-Sales Engineering section.

Drew's professional journey began at CB&I (formerly Stone & Webster) as an Electrical Engineer from September 2006 to March 2008. Drew contributed to the AP1000 price finalization project by conducting cost evaluations and engineering tasks for electrical systems of a nuclear generating station.
