Andrew Schafer has worked in a variety of roles in the pharmaceutical industry since 1999. In 1999, they began their career as a Senior Market Analyst at IBM, where they conducted primary and secondary research to assist the brand management teams with their strategy planning efforts. In 2000, they moved to Caspian Networks as Director of the Partnership Program and Strategic Planning, where they analyzed primary and secondary market data, competitive information and industry analyst forecasts. In 2003, they joined Quintiles as Senior Director of Corporate Strategic Services, where they led the Strategic Analysis group and was responsible for enterprise-wide strategic initiatives, analysis, and recommendations. In 2010, they co-founded Industry Standard Research (ISR Reports), where they served as President until 2017. In 2016, they joined InsightCity as Managing Director. In 2019, they became a Board Member at The Rational Heart, an Executive Advisory Board Member at Proximity Health Solutions, and VP of Growth at Biospatial, Inc. Finally, in 2022, they became Head of Market Development at Industry Standard Research and VP of Industry Genome at Crosstree.
Andrew Schafer began their education in 1985 when they attended Fayetteville-Manlius High School until 1989. Andrew then attended Syracuse University and obtained a BS in Economics and Finance in 1993. After that, they attended Syracuse University's Martin J. Whitman School of Management, where they obtained an MBA in Marketing and Statistics in 1995.
