Before being named the Vice President of Government Affairs at IndyGo, Cam worked in the office of Indianapolis Mayor Joe Hogsett as Director of Community Outreach. In this role, Cam worked to facilitate engagement between city agencies and neighborhood residents across Marion County. Projects that Cam helped to establish included the Mayor’s Neighborhood Resource Fair and Employ Indy’s youth jobs initiative known as “Project Indy.”. Additionally, Cam oversaw day to day operations of the Mayor’s Neighborhood Advocate program and served as an advisor to Mayor Hogsett on all neighborhood-focused engagement issues. Prior to joining Mayor Hogsett’s staff, Cam worked in the Office of U.S. Senator Joe Donnelly as his State Scheduler, handling travel logistics and meeting requests for the Senator and his State Director, Hodge Patel. Cam also served as the Senator’s statewide African American Outreach Liaison. Previously, he worked as Constituent Services Manager for Senator Donnelly, handling a portfolio that included Social Security, Labor, Small Business and Trade, Education, Judiciary, and state/local government issues. A native of Indianapolis, Cam is a graduate of Ball State University and holds a degree in Communications. He and his wife Samantha reside on the near northside.
