Director, Technical Solutions 

Location: Remote in Canada or the United States

Responsibilities 

• Lead and manage inecta’s technical and development organization, including hiring, developing, and retaining software engineers and technical consultants who will deliver high quality technical solutions quickly and efficiently.
• Guide the technical consulting and development organization to design and build coherent, scalable, extensible products, with a focus on stability and quality, not just activity.
• Work with inecta leadership to put systems and processes in place to track and improve the quality and timeliness of inecta development work, including both code quality and functional effectiveness of the delivered solutions.
• Maintain appropriate staffing levels to deliver product and service needs, ensuring that we are not overstaffed with excess capacity, nor understaffed and unable to deliver.
• Ensure that the technical organization is meeting utilization targets and managing to product delivery schedules, timelines and client schedules and timelines.
• Work with inecta technical leadership to develop and enforce coding quality standards and technical documentation standards.
• Meet with the Operations Leadership and technical product teams typically once a month in New York City.
• Spend significant time in India working directly with our Indian developers and technical consultants.
• Report to the Chief Operating Officer, manage an organization include several teams of developers and technical consultants.

Qualifications 

• Expert level knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Business Central from a functional and technical standpoint, including significant hands-on development skills and the ability to architect complex technical solutions.  Previous experience with Microsoft Dynamics Nav / Navision is helpful but not required.

• Familiarity with web and device app technologies including Flutter, Django, NextJS, and Tailwind CSS.

• Strong leadership, management and communication skills and experience.

• Track record of focusing on quality and effectiveness of technical solutions.

• Degree in computer science or equivalent computer science experience

• Up to 30% travel will be required, including spending significant time in India as well as regular trips to New York City, and travel to other locations when needed.

• Must be legally authorized to work in either Canada, the United States or India without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future. Must also hold a valid passport and be able to obtain a VISA to visit the other two countries as needed.

Compensation: 

The base salary hiring wage range for this position, which inecta Food reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position in the specified geographic areas or locations, is $160,000 to $200,000 CAD or USD. Our salary ranges are determined by role and level. Within the range, individual pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Please note that the compensation details listed in US and Canada job postings reflect the base salary only, and do not include benefits.
