Nichelle Passanisi

Certified ISR Instructor at Infant Swimming Resource

Nichelle Passanisi has diverse work experience in various educational institutions. Nichelle began their career as a Recruitment Representative at the Academy of Art University in 2002. From 2005 to 2016, they worked at Dominican University of California, starting as an Undergraduate Admissions Counselor and eventually becoming the Director of Undergraduate Admissions. During their time at the university, they were responsible for the recruitment of both first-year and transfer students, as well as admissions counseling for students from Marin County and international students.

In 2014, Nichelle joined Infant Swimming Resource as a Certified ISR Instructor, where they conducted survival swimming lessons for children aged 6 months to 6 years. Nichelle focused on providing customized, one-on-one lessons and emphasized ongoing program evaluations and parent education.

In 2015, they also worked as a Freshman Application Reader at the University of California, Berkeley. In this role, they evaluated and scored over 1,000 freshman applications each year, actively participating in training and norming sessions.

Starting in 2016, Nichelle became the Associate Director of College Counseling at Sonoma Academy, where they counseled students throughout the college admission process and wrote personalized letters of recommendation. Nichelle also guided families through a successful transition to post-secondary education, prioritizing finding the right college fit for each student. Nichelle held this position until June 2022, resulting in a 100% college placement rate for students at 4-year universities.

Nichelle Passanisi completed their Master of Science degree in Education from Dominican University of California in 2007. Prior to that, they attended UC Santa Barbara from 1998 to 2002, although the specific degree and field of study are unknown.
