Ibtisam B.

Ibtisam B. has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. In 2011, they worked as a Paralegal at SMAS-IP for three months. Following this, they transitioned into the field of geology and worked as a Geologist at Site Group for Services & Well Drilling Co. Ltd. from 2012 to 2013. Subsequently, in 2013, they joined Ruhr University Bochum as a Graduate Research Assistant. In this role, they collaborated with research institutions across Germany, the Netherlands, Switzerland, the UK, and Jordan, contributing to the analysis of multiple datasets using geostatistical software packages. They also led the planning and execution of research projects, resulting in the publication of scientific papers in recognized peer-reviewed journals. Their work at the university focused on reconstructing paleodepositional models for organic matter-rich carbonates. Currently, they are employed at INFARM as a Data Scientist, starting in 2020.

Ibtisam B. completed a Bachelor's degree in Environmental and Applied Geology at The University of Jordan from 2004 to 2008. Following that, they pursued a Master's degree in Geological and Earth Sciences/Geosciences at The University of Jordan from 2008 to 2011. Ibtisam then went on to obtain a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Geological and Earth Sciences/Geosciences from Ruhr University Bochum, where they studied from 2013 to 2019.

In terms of additional certifications, Ibtisam earned a Data Analytics certificate from Ironhack in July 2020. Ibtisam also completed several online courses, including "The complete SQL bootcamp online course (8.5 hrs)" from Udemy in January 2020, "Data Science Math Skills" from Coursera in May 2020, and "Advanced SQL for Data Scientists" from LinkedIn Learning in September 2020. Furthermore, they obtained certifications in Technical Product Management from LinkedIn in February 2023 and as a Certified Scrum Product Owner® (CSPO®) from Scrum Alliance in March 2023.
