Wiebe Wagemans

Wiebe Wagemans has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Wiebe is currently the Director of Hardware Engineering at INFARM, where they lead the hardware department and is responsible for the strategy and development of farming hardware. Prior to this role, they served as the Head of Farm Hardware at INFARM, where they introduced interdisciplinary product teams and set the hardware strategy.

Before joining INFARM, Wagemans worked at mitte® as the Director of Water and Innovation, the VP of Engineering, and the Head of Innovation. Wiebe played a key role in developing the product roadmap, managing partnerships, and leading the engineering team.

Wagemans also worked at WATTx as the Captain of Trajectory, where they identified and developed a new business utilizing IoT technologies. Additionally, they co-founded Tapovan Nederland, a center for personal growth and consciousness development.

Earlier in their career, Wagemans worked at Philips Research as a Research Scientist and Project Leader, where they led explorative projects and developed new lighting technologies. Wiebe also founded Stichting Techniekpromotie, a non-profit organization aimed at promoting science and technology education for young children.

Wagemans holds a PhD from Eindhoven University of Technology, where they conducted research on Organic Spintronics. Wiebe also completed an internship at MIT.

Wiebe Wagemans completed their VWO at Thomas a Kempis College, Arnhem from 1992 to 1998. Wiebe then pursued their Ir. (MSc) in Applied Physics from 1998 to 2006 at Eindhoven University of Technology. Finally, they obtained their PhD in Applied Physics from Eindhoven University of Technology from 2006 to 2010.
