Andrin Caviezel is a seasoned physicist with extensive experience in vacuum technology and project management. Currently serving as a Physiker Applikation at INFICON since January 2023, Andrin specializes in the development and homologation of measurement setups for data acquisition in high and ultra-high vacuum applications, while also coordinating with R&D teams to meet specific customer requirements. Prior experience includes leading projects on gravitational fall processes at Eidg. Forschungsanstalt WSL, focusing on the development of measurement techniques for rockfall and avalanche events, along with supervising doctoral and master's students. As a Scientific Associate in the RAMMS group, Andrin contributed to research in large-scale rockfall simulations and training engineers in producing risk maps. Academic credentials include a PhD from ETH Zurich, along with advanced studies in informatics and degrees in physics from ETH Zurich.
