Mike Gallagher is currently an advisor at Infinadeck. Mike previously served as the president and CEO of the Entertainment Software Association from May 2007 to November 2018. During their tenure, they led ESA’s efforts to transform perceptions of video games and shape the entertainment and technology policy landscape. Mike also oversaw the organization’s collaboration with the Congressional Caucus for Competitiveness in Entertainment Technology (E-TECH Caucus).
Under Gallagher’s leadership, the ESA successfully defended the video game industry’s First Amendment rights in the Supreme Court case Brown v. EMA/ESA. Mike also sourced and guided the ESA Foundation’s partnership with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, which has raised over $40 million to date. In addition, Gallagher helped the foundation raise an additional $17 million for scholarships and grants.
Previously, Gallagher served on the Advisory Board for the Executive Roundtable of Republican Governors Association. Mike has also worked in state government affairs and has been instrumental in defeating every hostile bill targeted at the video game industry for over a decade.
Mike Gallagher has a Juris Doctor from the University of California, Los Angeles and a Bachelor's Degree in Economics and Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley. Mike is certified by the Washington State Bar Association as a lawyer.
