David Teichmann

David Teichmann has served as Infinera’s Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary since April 2019. He is responsible for Infinera’s global legal and corporate governance matters and policies.

Prior to joining Infinera, he served as Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of Oclaro, Inc. from January 2014 until its acquisition by Lumentum in December 2018. From April 2007 to December 2012, he served as Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of Trident Microsystems, Inc. From August 1998 to February 2006, he served as Senior Vice President, General Counsel, and Secretary of GoRemote Internet Communications, Inc., guiding the company through its initial public offering and its acquisition by iPass, Inc. From 1993 to July 1998, he served in various positions at Sybase, Inc., including Vice President, International Law and Director of European Legal Affairs based in the Netherlands. From 1989 to 1993, Mr. Teichmann was Assistant General Counsel for Tandem Computers Corporation, handling legal matters in Asia Pacific, Canada, and Latin America. He began his legal career as an attorney with the Silicon Valley-based Fenwick & West LLP.

Mr. Teichmann holds a bachelor's degree in political science from Trinity College, a master's degree in law and diplomacy from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, and a J.D. from the William S. Richardson School of Law at the University of Hawaii. He was also a Rotary Foundation Scholar at the Universidad Central de Venezuela, where he did postgraduate work in Latin American economics and law.
