Mike Soulakis

Vice President Global Open Solution Architecture at Infinera

Mike Soulakis has over 30 years of work experience in the telecommunications industry. Mike began their career at Alcatel as a Field Engineer in 1992 and subsequently held various software engineering and management positions within the company until 2000. From 2000 to 2007, Mike worked as a Principal Engineer at Alcatel, focusing on software development. Mike then joined Alcatel-Lucent, where they served as the Director of Business Development and later as the Director of Transport Solutions & Consulting Engineer. In 2013, they were promoted to Senior Director - MSO Consulting Engineering. In 2016, Nokia acquired Alcatel-Lucent, and Mike continued working in senior roles, including Head of IP & Optical Software Automation Practice and Senior Director of North America Business Development and Consulting Engineering. In 2021, Mike joined Ribbon Communications as the Vice President, Americas, IP/Optical & Automation Solutions. Mike will be starting a new role as the Vice President of Global Open Solution Architecture at Infinera in 2023.

Mike Soulakis attended Texas Tech University from 1987 to 1991, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science with a minor in Electrical Engineering.
