Scotty Benda

Scotty Benda has extensive work experience in the telecommunications industry. Scotty is currently the SVP World Wide Sales Systems Engineering at Infinera, where they focus on building high-performance optical networks for various industries. Prior to that, they served as the Chief Product Officer at LightRiver Technologies, where they led teams to modernize networks and meet customer needs. Before that, they held various roles at Ciena, including VP Americas Sales Systems Engineering, GM of the Global Services Division, and VP of Global Sales Systems Engineering. Scotty also worked at ONI as the Director of Embedded Software Development and Global Product Introduction, and at Nokia as the Regional SE Manager/Director INS Sales. Scotty began their career at Nortel Networks in various roles, including R&D Software Architect and Manager of Global Product Support.

Scotty Benda attended North Carolina State University from 1983 to 1988, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. In March 2022, they also received a certification as a Ciena Routing and Switching Associate from Ciena.
