Tung (Jerry) Nguyen Son

Jerry Nguyen Son (Tung) has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries.

Tung (Jerry) started their career as a Telesales Executive at the Centre for International Training and Education, Vietnam National University in 2013. In this role, they placed phone calls to potential customers, attended trade fairs, and handled inquiries and complaints.

Tung (Jerry) then worked as a Sales and Marketing Executive for a start-up project called Let's Express - International Shipping from January 2015 to October 2015. Their responsibilities included planning and implementing brand marketing activities, managing social media channels, and creating marketing materials.

From April 2016 to May 2016, Jerry served as a Communication Intern at BOND Vietnam. In this role, they were responsible for content creation for various communication channels, event management, market research, and budget management.

Jerry then joined Freshbox.vn, a start-up project providing premium food solutions, as a Project Development Executive from June 2016 to April 2017. Tung (Jerry) analyzed sales and marketing data using Excel and contributed to the project's growth.

Tung (Jerry) further expanded their skillset as a Data Analyst at Mytour Vietnam from July 2017 to September 2020. There, they utilized Tableau and Google BigQuery to develop and maintain dashboards for KPI tracking, worked with clients to define KPIs, and provided ad-hoc reports and data summaries.

Jerry's next role was as a Senior Business Intelligence (Retail) specialist at Ti Ki Company Limited from September 2020 to September 2021. Tung (Jerry) built retail operation budget planning, inventory management, and key metrics tracking reports. Tung (Jerry) integrated the SAP system into cost of goods sold (COGS) calculations and developed supplier performance management reports.

Currently, Jerry is working as an Analytics Engineer at Infinite Lambda from October 2021 onwards.

Tung (Jerry) Nguyen Son's education history includes a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and Management, General from Troy University, which they obtained from 2012 to 2016. In addition to their degree, Tung has acquired several certifications. These certifications include "Hands On Essentials - Data Applications" and "Hands On Essentials - Data Warehouse" from Snowflake, which they obtained in January 2023. Tung also holds the "Astronomer Certification for Apache Airflow Fundamentals" from Astronomer, obtained in December 2022. Further certifications include "Tableau 10 A-Z: Hands-On Tableau Training For Data Science!" from Udemy in April 2019, "Querying with Transact-SQL Course" from DataCamp in May 2017, and "Introduction to R" also from DataCamp in March 2017. Tung has obtained additional certifications in 2022 and 2023, which include "Snowflake Sales Professional Accreditation" from Snowflake in January 2023, "dbt Analytics Engineering Certification" from dbt Labs in September 2022, and "dbt Fundamentals" from dbt Labs in June 2022.
